Day 26

I had one small concern this morning as I left for my Bod Pod appointment. I was supposed to fast before the appointment, which I did, and I wasn’t supposed to do any exercise or strenuous activity, which I didn’t – sort of. I took little kid to daycare on my bicycle. I don’t really consider that strenuous activity or exercise, since I use my bike for commuting short distances around my neighborhood, but I was definitely worried the technician wouldn’t agree.

Luckily, it wasn’t a big deal and I was able to keep my appointment. I now have my results. I was disappointed because their printer was out of ink, so I couldn’t get the usual colorful printout (with graphs!), but I was able to get a picture.

As predicted, my body fat mass (FM) pounds and percentage increased since my last test in June, but surprisingly, it wasn’t as bad as I had expected. My fat free mass also increased, so that’s a positive. I want to believe that increase is muscle, but I don’t think I’ve lifted weights enough for that these past few weeks.

Overall, I’m really happy with my results. My next test is scheduled for September 20th, a little under four weeks from now. I’m excited at the possibility of what I might be able to accomplish between now and then. Although I don’t want to get ahead of myself, I think I might be ready to set some goals and make some more changes!
