Yesterday was a pretty decent day despite it being a Saturday. I made it to the gym to make up for missing Friday’s workout, and despite going over my calorie goal for the day, it wasn’t by much.

Today is a hard day to write about. I’m not sure how to explain it. It was a kid-free day out with friends. We went to the sumo tournament in Tokyo and basically ate and drank a whole lot. I haven’t finished entering my meals for the day in MyFitnessPal, but I honestly wouldn’t be surprised if I went over 3,000 calories today.
There’s a part of me that feels like I should be upset or feel guilty about overindulging. I know it’s not going to help me reach my weight loss goal; but I had a good time today and I don’t regret it.
And the thing is, it’s not like I forgot about my goals today. I’m writing this after walking several living room laps to hit my step goal. I just didn’t really want to worry about how much I was eating. I just needed a break, I guess? Or as others would call: a cheat day.
On the bright side, tomorrow’s Monday. It’ll be a new day, a new week, and a new opportunity.
