Last July, as my 37th birthday approached, I was inspired to start this challenge. In August, I finally took the plunge and started walking. The goal: take 15,000 steps a day for a year.
Since then, I’ve walked and I’ve hit goals. I’ve failed and I’ve given up several times. I’ve picked myself up, I’ve brushed myself off, and I’ve started over – more than once. Now, as I get ready to turn 38, I’ve decided to try again: same goal, same time frame.
The circumstances are different now though. In a year, a lot has changed. I’ve been diagnosed with Hashimoto’s, celiac disease, and lactose intolerance. Life is different now.
So, who am I? I’m a mom and a wife, a traveler and an avid reader. I’m gluten-free and dairy-free, and a lover of good food. I’m passionate about health and wellness, and this year, I’m putting my health first.
